Samuel Bourne
Campus Secondary Head (Garden Hills) – 4. Grade LeadersI am now in my sixth year of teaching and learning in Vietnam. I have previously taught in Qatar and Wales.
I am an avid West Bromwich Albion supporter and love to follow Worcestershire County Cricket Club. Some of my hobbies include playing sports (and e-sports), as well as playing the ukulele. Walking the Malvern Hills and breathing in the English country air during the summer offers a pleasant getaway for me, as does spending time with family members in France.
Vietnam has provided a plethora of fresh opportunities and is a vibrant place to live - it is one of the regions fastest growing economies. A few of my personal favourite spots include Dalat, Hỏi An and Phụ Quốc.
VAS has been incredibly supportive to enable us to gain further leadership experience and empower colleagues to share similar experiences. Our staff are dedicated and passionate about the education field. Our students are respectful and have a thirst for learning. We provide many exiting extra-curricular opportunities for students also to help enable students’ to ‘Be the Best” (VAS Motto).
Our diverse culture reflects the positive atmosphere that we have built - and continue to build - this is an aspect of our ethos that all stakeholders care about deeply.
