It’s great being on campus and just walking around and knowing that I’m part of a community and my presence in it matters. I’m constantly building rapports with my students that often go beyond the year or two that I spend teaching them. I see their growth when I pass them on campus and hear about their victories from my colleagues who teach them after I do. It makes me feel a deep sense of purpose, not just as a teacher but as a human being.

One of the prominent features of VAS which helps it stand out from other schools is the friendly, empowering and progressive environment. I’ve grown a lot in VAS, as I have gotten a great deal of exposure to different students and the Cambridge curriculum at different levels, as well as having supportive colleagues and managers. I've also had the opportunity to embark on leadership roles like Science Lead at VAS to develop my career.

I have taught at many different schools across two countries, and I have to say that VAS has provided me with a truly unique experience. The students have a dynamic energy and caring nature. They allow you to form connections with them really quickly, making for a wonderfully nurturing environment. Vietnam has more than met our expectations and we look forward to continuing the experience for as long as possible.

In my home city, there is a large Vietnamese community. As a result, I initially came to Vietnam because I wanted to further experience the friendly people, the food and the culture. I wanted to travel Vietnam and all the other close surrounding destinations. I have immersed myself in the Vietnamese community, and although I have not been here too long, I feel right at home and find Vietnam to be beautiful and the people to be extremely friendly.

This is my first-year teaching in Vietnam, so I’m glad that I chose VAS to further my career and help me grow as an educator. I moved to Vietnam to immerse myself in their rich culture, abundant scenic beauty, and to continue traveling throughout Southeast Asia. Since I’ve moved here, my expectations have been exceeded. I’m constantly grateful for the warm and welcoming attitude of the locals and of my colleagues within VAS.
