Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Academic Managers for Primary and Secondary – MFL Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the following, non-exhaustive list, of responsibilities.
- Ensure the delivery of quality, Cambridge aligned Modern Foreign Languages in Grades 3 to Grade 8 on the CAPi pathway.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of Modern Foreign Languages in Grades 9 – 12 on the CAPi pathway, delivered by external vendors.
Modern Foreign Languages
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the MFL curriculum for Grades 3 to 8, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with teachers to design engaging and effective lesson plans that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing support and intervention as needed to ensure academic success.
- Organise and facilitate professional development opportunities for MFL teachers to enhance instructional skills and curriculum delivery.
- Stay updated with current trends and advancements in language education and integrate them into the curriculum.
- Work with the external MFL centres/providers to coordinate the delivery of the MFL curriculum for Grade 9-12
- Support campus management teams in ensuring the quality and continuity of the MFL provision by external vendors and work with the campus and ECA teams to resolve any issues, should they arise.
Other Duties
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes the well-being and academic achievement of all students.
- Collaborate with other school leaders to support the overall strategic goals of the school.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school leadership.
Your background and experience
Note that this position is ONLY open to VIETNAMESE applicants.
This is a certified position that requires you to have a recognised teaching qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Modern Foreign Languages, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Furthermore, we are looking for candidates who:
- Have Coordination / Project management experience.
- Have MFL teaching experience.
- Are Fluent Vietnamese with strong English skills; knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
- Has the ability to work under pressure and as a positive team member; ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; commitment to continued improvement and development.
- Has excellent problem-solving ability and analytical skills.
- Has the ability to show attention to detail and produce work of high quality.
